I've lived in Midtown almost my entire life. I know every street and every neighborhood like the back of my hand.
Crime has increased dramatically over the past couple decades across Alaska, but especially in my district. Almost every days, cars are stolen, businesses are broken into, and gunshots can be heard. I'm tired of looking over my shoulder in my own neighborhood, and I know you are, too.
As your next legislator, I will work to make sure two things happen:
- SB 91 needs to be repealed. Alaskans are less safe than they were before Governor Walker signed this bill into law.
- Alaska needs more mentorship opportunities. Without great mentors and role models, kids will have no other option but to turn to the streets to educate them -- and we don't want that.
I'd be honored to earn your support!
